Full-Day Kayaking on the Nam Ou River, Pak Ou Caves & Whisky Village • 08:30 AM – Pick-up from your hotel and drive around 45 minutes to Ban Somsanouk, where your kayaking adventure begins. • Receive paddling instructions and safety guidance from your tour guide before setting off on the Nam Ou River. • Paddle through the peaceful countryside for approximately 2.5 hours, enjoying views of lush riverbanks, local fishermen, and the dramatic Pha Aen limestone cliffs. • Arrive around 12:00 PM at the spiritual highlight of the day: the Pak Ou Caves—a revered pilgrimage site filled with thousands of Buddha statues across two levels (upper and lower caves). • While you explore, a fresh lunch will be prepared and served nearby. • After lunch, continue kayaking for another 45 minutes downstream along the Mekong River until you reach Chang Hai Village. • Visit local weaving looms and witness how villagers craft traditional Lao scarves by hand.
